This few days i had been busy designing my new WordPress theme, and no time for blogging, sorry about that, for now the theme should finish by nearly 80%, only left a few minor templates and some tweaks.

Actually i started to design the new theme since end of last October, but i’m not very good in designing so it took times, and i’m learning the WordPress theme system as well, however i’m very happy in doing this. 🙂

This is my first attempt in creating WordPress theme so please don’t expect too much from it, hopefully by this few days the theme will be finish. 🙂

It was two days ago, during night time, as usual i was surfing the Internet, if i’m right there was raining outside, but i was in the air conditioned room and didn’t notice the rain, the rain wasn’t heavy anyway. But suddenly a very strong lighting stroked and i was very sure that i heard a sound “Poop”! And then the whole house went black, accept my laptop.

Straight away i knew that the main switch was off, and i thought something was exploded, so i went reopen the main switch, but couldn’t find anything that’s exploded, maybe it’s just the sound when the main switch snapped off. Anyway, everything was alright accept the modem, yes it burned, but what worst is my laptop LAN module cannot function anymore, it’s spoiled i guess, 😥 and now i’m online using wireless… 🙁

Have to fork another RM65 to buy a new laptop LAN card. 🙁

Got a new rig with kickass graphic card? Got extra RAM to spend? How about trying Microsoft’s soon to be release Windows Vista RC1?? What if i’m telling you that you can get the product key for free?? Got to be kidding right? No!! I’m serious about this!! 😈 So read on!!

Microsoft’s Windows Vista, is the new operating system from Microsoft, an operating system with a completely new visual style named Windows Aero that will blow your mind away, and the price too, i doubt, 😛 scheduled to be release on January 2007.

However, Windows Vista RC1 is available for free, mean that you can have a sneak preview of this operating system for free!! OMFG!! 😯 But you have to download the ISO, and the size is a wooping 2.5 GB of DVD ISO, so if you don’t mind to download the ISO with our crappy Streamyx, continue to read for the product key. 😉

To get the product key is easy, all you have to do is go to Microsoft Live.com and login with your Passport account, answer a few very simple question and Microsoft will give you the product key, they will even send an email to you! After that go download the ISO for 32-bit edition or the 64-bit edition.

But please remember that this is just an RC1 release, RC mean Release Candidate, a Beta version of software with just a few final tweak and is ready to release, so this mean that there are no support from Microsoft (no not me either) if anything happen to your PC, so use it at your own risk! 🙂

WordPress 2.0.5 released three days ago, while most of the WordPress user are now writing their blog with peace of mind, some of them are having the server 500 error. According to Mark Jaquith, it’s due to the bug that was reported for WordPress 2.1.

Fixing this error is some what easy, for it’s fixable just by installing a plugin, below are the step to fix this error.

1. Download this plugin.
2. Upload it to your WordPress plugins folder.
3. Activate the plugin.

However if you get an error message after logging in to your admin panel and cannot click the Plugins tab, just type “{WPDIR}/wp-admin/plugins.php” into your address bar and press enter, and this should fix the problem.

The moment of truth, WordPress 2.0.5 is finally released about 12 hours ago!! The latest WordPress, coded named Ronan to congratulate Ryan Boren on his new son, awww how nice~~ 😳

There are around 50 bugfixes in this release, and WordPress user is advised to upgrade into this version since there are quite a lot of security fix in this one, and you may go to Mark’s blog to know more about the changes in WordPress 2.0.5.

This is the last version of WordPress 2.0, next the WordPress team will continue to develop the brand new WordPress 2.1.

While two days ago the Hindus were celebrate Deepavali, today it’s the Malay turn to celebrate the Hari Raya!!

Fresh from oven!! WordPress Multi User or known as WordPress MU 1.0 just released today!!

WordPress MU is a multi user version of WordPress, the famous blogging software, it’s suitable for those who like to host WordPress with many user, for example like a blogging networks or something, and it’s actually the software that run WordPress.com for all this while.

According to Matt, to install WordPress MU is a little bit more complex than the usual 5 minute install of regular WordPress, sorry to say that i’m not very sure how complex the installation is, but WordPress MU had gone through more than a year of heavy development before it’s stable enough to release to the public.

Other than that Matt also announce the release of bbPress, a very lightweight forum that is totally supports complete user and login integration with WordPress.

Wishing all the Hindu Happy Deepavali, or some call it as Diwali, basically both are the same meaning, which mean the “Festival of Lights”. 😉

Got WordPress 2.0.5 RC1 download link from foolswisdom, you may download WordPress 2.0.5 RC1 now, zip and svn also available. But i strongly recommend you all to join the WP Testers mailing list to discuss in case you found any bugs.

Please remember that WordPress 2.0.5 RC1 is till under Release Candidate, mean that there are still minor things to make sure before it’s release to the public, so if you don’t want to take any risk to try Beta software, you may wait until the official release, most probably in 10 days or so.

Saw this on WordPress admin dashboard this morning, WordPress 2.0.5 RC1 is out, but not open to public yet. This isn’t an official release, according to Dougal, WordPress 2.0.5 had change from Beta to Release Candidate, mean that soon it will release to the public.

It’s been almost three months since WordPress 2.0.4 released, the development seem like stopped for quite a long time, i guess most probably is because the team is busy with bbPress, a bulletin board system developed by WordPress team.
